A woman will be celebrating her birthday in style by riding down the Champs Elysees in Paris at the end of a charity bike ride.
Ruth Trippitt, 25, who has lived in Epsom since she was 8 years old, is aiming to raise £2,000 for charity Kidney Research through her Charity Challenge Bike Ride in June.
Ms Trippitt was first motivated to cycle to get in shape for her sister’s wedding and decided it was time to do something for charity.
Inspired by her grandmother’s struggle with kidney problems Ms Trippitt said: "I want to show her my ability and also prove to other people my age that anyone can do something for others."
She said: "It is a unique experience to be had whilst raising awareness at the same time."
Ms Trippitt will begin her trip on the June 7 at Bushy Park in London and will complete her journey at the Champs Elysees in Paris on the June 9, which is her birthday.
