Glendale care home, Walton, celebrated Valentine’s Day with a sweet treats afternoon for residents and staff.
Spoiled for choice, they dipped strawberries and marshmallows into a chocolate fountain, before washing them down with a glass or two of fizz.
Resident Irene Carlyle, 74, said: “In my younger days I enjoyed Valentine’s Day and being with my partner, but I also love the chocolate fountain.”
The afternoon of sweet treats was part of Glendale’s ongoing programme of activities that aim to stimulate residents physically and mentally.
