Garson’s Farm in Winterdown Road, Esher, was named the pick-your-own (PYO) farm of the year at the Farma UK Farm Retail Awards on Tuesday, February 12.
The award was presented by TV chef and Farma patron Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall at the Majestic Hotel in Harrogate.

Steve Gallimore, PYO manager at Garson’s , said: “We’re so pleased to have impressed the judges. It’s a major achievement to be voted the best in the country.
“We’d like to thank all our customers and look forward to welcoming them back when the season starts with asparagus in late spring.”
Surbiton Farmers’ Market also picked up an award at the ceremony.
Rita Exner, Farma secretary, said: “These businesses have won the admiration and allegiance of many people in their communities as great places to shop, and these awards now recognise their excellence as retailers, farmers and producers.
“It’s an achievement of which they can all be very proud.”
