There are 'allot' of green-fingered people hoping to get their own patch of land in the borough.
More than 800 people are on the waiting list for an allotment in Sutton, a Freedom of Information request has revealed.
The 865 people are on one or more waiting lists for the borough's 2,400 allotments spread over 36 sites.
Sutton Council says there were no new allotments opened in 2011 or 2012 but it is working to open a disused site for disabled people.
