By Sally Kenny; Dudley Drive, Morden
On Monday, February 11, Siobhain McDonagh, MP for Mitcham and Morden, held a 'standing room' only evening meeting at the House of Commons.
The discussion was how to save all the facilities at St Helier Hospital, which serves an ageing, growing, and densely populated area.
This very well attended meeting lacked, as far as I could tell, any Conservative councillors.
Why?
Our community needs St Helier and demands an all-party approach to save it.
Any loss at St Helier is most serious for the whole community.
It was an open meeting, leafleted to a wide area. I refuse to accept they did not know.
Why where they not there, showing concern and care for constituents?
