What on Earth is our council thinking? In Carshalton village there was already a co-op store then the council allowed practically next door a Sainsburys to open, now the superb butchers has gone also the good value greengrocers as the council is thinking of allowing a Tescos to open.
Then even more good thinking, in Stanley Park Road which has three small shops trading in groceries there is application for a Sainsbury’s local, I thought the Governments policy was to help small business not close them down.
Soon there will be no choice but to accept higher prices from superstores.
