A Masterchef champion brought a flavour of Malaysia to Croydon on Saturday.
Masterchef 2010 winner Dhruv Baker, who has teamed up with Malaysia Kitchen, a campaign to promote Malaysian food in the UK, visited oriental supermarket Wing Yip on Purley Way, where he showed shoppers how to create delicious Malaysian food at home.
Regular cooking demonstrations meant customers were able to try some of the dishes themselves, before buying the products in store to try at home.
Mr Baker said: "Malaysian food takes the best flavours from Indian, Chinese and traditional Malay food and merges them into something better than the sum of its parts.
"The result is an amazingly vibrant, delicious and varied cuisine."
