Sports fans gathered at a Mitcham rugby club this week to catch a glimpse of the official RBS six Nations trophy.
With the six nations tournament well underway, the trophy has been touring the UK stopping by rugby clubs, shopping centres and landmarks, and this week it arrived at Mitcham Rugby Club.
The trophy arrived at the club house in Poulter’s Park, Carshalton on Tuesday and was welcomed by Mini and Youth players, 1st XV players, the President of Surrey County Rugby, Sutton MP Tom Brake and senior councillors.
Gary Ashburn, president of Mitcham RFC, said: "It was a great honour for Mitcham RFC to be visited by the RBS 6 Nations Trophy.
"We work with several local schools, and it was a particular treat for pupils who are also involved with the club to be visited by the Trophy during their half-term.
"Mitcham RFC will remember this day for a long time to come."
