An advice centre is being moved out of the high street this month to the disappointment of residents and councillors who had opposed the relocation.
The HelpShop on Leatherhead High Street, will shut on Friday, February 22, and reopen at the library in Church Street at 9am Tuesday morning.
Mole Valley councillor Dave Howarth, who fears the relocation makes vital services harder to reach, said: "It’s very disappointing.
"We will carry on working to see if we can move the library and HelpShop into the town centre in a suitable premise."
However, Councillor Vivienne Michael, portfolio holder for customer services and wellbeing, said: "Being located in the same building as the county council’s library service means that HelpShop customers can access a range of services under one roof."
