Power cuts in Kingston last night were caused by routine maintenance work, UK Power Networks (UKPN) has said.
169 customers in the Castle Street area had their power supply interrupted at about 10pm.
A UKPN spokesman apologised for the interruptions. He said: “We appreciate how difficult it can be to lose power, especially at this time of year.
“While reconfiguring supplies, other customers in a wider area may have noticed power fluctuations.”
The maintenance work was completed last night.
