The Roosters Spot in Clapham featured in a Channel 4 documentary aired last week called ‘The Fried Chicken Shop: Life in a Day.’
Hidden cameras filmed in the shop on Clapham High Street for one week to get a snapshot of contemporary London life.
Open until 6am, the shop serves upto 1000 customers a night including regulars from the local area and an array of visitors from school children to drag queens.
Staff member, Mr Ali Nasir, 31, said: “It’s real life. We didn’t make anything up”.
"The staff team are very happy with the programme, it’s fantastic.” added Mr Nasir.
In a fast food market worth more than £4bn, Roosters Spot has more than 2,100 different chicken shops in the UK.
Footage of their flagship store in Clapham uncovers the truth about Britain’s new love affair with fried chicken.
