A man accused of having an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence will stand trial next month.
Gary Simmons, 43, of Hazel Way, Chipstead, was bailed today and will appear at Guildford Crown Court on March 14.
Mr Simmons was arrested on Wednesday after reports of a man allegedly threatening to shoot another man on Epsom Downs on Tuesday.
Mr Simmons appeared at South East Surrey Magistrates Court today. He was released on bail but must abide by a curfew and not contact two men.
