Five people have been arrested after a taxi driver was robbed at gunpoint.
The taxi driver was threatened and forced to hand over his wallet and mobile phone on Friday night.
Four men, aged 21 to 42, and a woman, 32, all from Epsom are now being held at Reigate police station.
Police also recovered two replica firearms and stolen property during searches of two properties.
At 11.20pm on Friday the driver had been called to take three passengers from Worcester Park to Epsom.
He was threatened with a gun when he dropped off the passengers at Stanton Close, Epsom.
The ordeal left him shaken but unharmed.
Detective Sergeant Jules Knowles said: "This was an extremely unpleasant ordeal for the taxi driver, who was just trying to do his job.
"Luckily he was not injured but the passengers still managed to get away with his wallet and mobile phone at great cost and inconvenience to him.
"However, we would like to reassure the local community that thankfully, incidents of this nature are extremely rare in this area."
The investigation continues.
