One of Oxford University’s oldest college choirs will use their internationally-renowned voices to raise funds for Sam Beare Hospice.
The Exeter College Choir will come to St Mary’s Church, Oatlands, on March 9 and it will be a chance to experience the choir performing Duruflé Requiem.
Alexandra Shields, event organiser, said: “We are very excited about this concert which will showcase one of the country’s best mixed voice chapel choirs singing this beautiful requiem alongside other pieces of music for Lent and Passiontide.
“It also gives the community a great opportunity to support their local hospice and help raise much needed funds.”
The choir of 24 men and women will be directed by Georges de Voil and accompanied by organist Michael Papadopoulos and Anil Umer on cello.
The Exeter College Choir at St Mary’s Church; March 9, concert starts at 7.30pm; £12; call St Mary’s Church on 01932 231274 or the Sam Beare fundraising office on 01483 881752.
