Budding bobbies got to find out more about being a policeman when officers visited a nursery.
Among the officers visiting the NHS-run Willows Day Nursery in Sutton was larger-than-life mascot PCSO Steve who was joined by Belmont PCSOs Zarif Adem and Melanie Fortune last Wednesday.
The group spent more than an hour with the three and four-year-olds telling them about their work and how they can stay safe.
PCSO Adem said: "The children loved it and gasped with delight when PCSO Steve walked into the room."
Centre manager Caroline Thomas said: "It’s all about the children being able to recognise police officers and know that they are around to keep us all safe - and to get to be aware of the 999 number in emergencies."
