I have visited St George’s Hospital several times in the past few years. I am just back from one of my visits. At this time, when the NHS, hospitals and carers are so often criticised, I feel I have to make public my deep appreciation of the care given to me.
Appointments quickly offered when necessary, treatments rapidly and perfectly administered to fit in with your own requirements like departures on holidays. Smiles all around, encouraging words, cups of tea according to your taste, highly qualified surgeons and doctors, floating little angels dressed daintily answering patiently to everybody’s needs. Not as luxurious as a five-star hotel, but much more pleasant to leave with nothing to pay. And in the sky, I see thousands of stars as shiny as the smiles I encountered in St George’s and through them, I say, with all my heart, thank you.
