More than 20 residents helped clean up their area in Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Members of the Crystal Palace Transition Town team got together to clean up an area of woodland near Auckland Road, Upper Norwood.
The team picked up litter and kept many of the items which will be used to create something for their community gardens.
Anna Kostyrina, who organised the event, said: "I just really wanted to support Crystal Palace to be even more beautiful - it's amazing the difference a group can make in just three hours."
Joe Duggan, who helped out at the community clean up, added: "Crystal Palace Transition Town has a wide range of active projects going on at the moment.
"The Palace Pick-Up community clean up was one of those projects.
"The site was identified by local residents, including the organiser,Anna Kostyrina, and the response was brilliant with 25 to30 local getting involved on a drizzly Saturday."
