Four cows inside a trailer driven by a landrover were involved in a traffic accident on Saturday.
The trailer tipped over during the accident on the A24 near Box Hill at 4.30pm.
A Leatherhead fire station spokesman said they had righted the trailer and: "Four cows were returned to the farmer."
A Surrey County Council spokesman said the trailer overturned with four cows inside.
He said: "It looks like the cows were released and got safe and sound into another lorry."
