Now on our travels last week to our local Sainsbury’s with children in tow, we bumped into someone I know from the gym who had also recently had a baby.

She looked incredible and, in my opinion, was already fitting back into her size 6 clothes.

She commented she still had a belly on her and I had to remind her not say that too loud around other recent mums or she may find herself getting an earful.

At the end of the day we all know how we want to feel and look, so I started thinking about my own post pregnancy body image.

Luckily, I didn’t balloon in size with either of my pregnancies and also managed to keep fit during them; whether it was walking or pilates. The real problem came afterwards.

No one can ever explain the tiredness you experience and when I’m tired I eat junk! I put on loads of weight after giving birth to Elijah, so I’m aware I can’t be stuffing my face at every opportunity this time round.

But come on, you only live once. We’ve indulged on a few takeaways, biscuits, cakes and the rest, primarily because my husband has used lack of time as an excuse to over-indulge.

He would admit he looked more pregnant than I did first time round.

Anyway, for me there’s no time to be thinking about weight or fad dieting right now, but focusing on looking after the children, and with the running around I’ve done in the last week I’m hoping the love handles, cellulite and flabby bits will fall off naturally (here’s hoping at least).

And the only exercises I’m doing right now are my pelvic floor ones, before my doctor gives me a telling off at my six-week check up.
