Businesses have been invited to go and help shape the future of Beddington.

Local entrepreneurs can go along to the Business Network launch on August 8, and help shape the area’s future.

The launch, at Asda in Marlow Way, Croydon, will see The Beddington Programme and Opportunity Sutton both be on the agenda and employers can learn more about the projects.

Councillor Richard Clifton, vice-chairman of Sutton Council’s housing, economy and business committee, said: "Sutton is firmly focused on encouraging business to set up in the borough and helping them to get established successfully.

"The Beddington Business Network will be a forum for people to swap ideas and information and also tell others what help they need and how they can get involved. I urge everyone interested in the future of the area to get along if they can. Sutton is not just surviving the recession, it is on a growth path."

The Beddington Programme brings local people and businesses together to work on projects that will boost the area.

The vision is: By 2025 Beddington will be an attractive and economically prosperous neighbourhood, shaped by local people and businesses to ensure Beddington people talk about Beddington with a sense of local pride.

To join the conversation, email Kirsty.allen@sutton.gov.uk or call 020 8770 5987 and confirm attendance on 8 August.
