A popular commuter train from Croydon into London has appeared in the top 10 of most overcrowded train journeys in the UK.
The Southern service from East Croydon to London Bridge, that leaves at 8.11am , is 154 per cent over capacity. The route begins in Tattenham Corner.
The figures are from a survey by the Department of Transport.
The south had the most overcrowded journeys with the busiest route being Heathrow to Paddington, 165 per cent over capacity.
Transport Minister Norman Baker said: "Climbing on to a very crowded train is an unpleasant experience and I sympathise with passengers using these services."
"I urge train operators to do what they can on these particular trains."
