A Crimewatch appeal about an armed robbery at travel agent in Caterham has led to a man being arrested.
The BBC show on Thursday featured an image a of man believed to have struck at the Thomas Cook branch in Croydon Road at 2.40pm on July 8.
A 56-year-old, from Warlingham, was arrested by Surrey Police on Saturday on suspicion of armed robbery.
He has been bailed on September 10 while officers continue investigating.
Detective Constable Kerry Akehurst, of Surrey Police, said: "Following the Crimewatch appeal last week we received information which led to the arrest of the man and I would like to thank those who called in for assisting with the investigation."
Crimestoppers offered a reward of up to £1,000 for information which leading to the convinction of those responsible.
Anyone with information on the robbery can contact Crimestopppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference TD/13/3211. Information passed to the police rather than Crimestoppers will not lead to a reward being paid.
