A man has appeared in court charged with damaging a pub door and assaulting the manager.
Alex Hawkes, 28, of Bishop Fox Way, West Molesey, denies charges of common assault and criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.
It was alleged he destroyed the door at the Orange Tree pub in Kew Road, Richmond, and assaulted one of the managers, George Curruthers, on April 6.
Mr Hawkes denied both charges when he appeared at Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court on Monday, July 29.
He was released on bail and is due to return to Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court for trial on October 3 and 4.
