Kids at Kingston Hospital have been enjoying the company of a furry visitor to their outdoor play area.
Buzz the border collie visits from the Pets as Therapy charity to cheer up patients who might feel isolated or withdrawn.
Volunteer Stephanie Dawson brings five-year-old Buzz to play with the children once a week.
She said: “He is very good natured and is completely unfazed when the children come rushing towards him.
“He enjoys the attention and I feel like we make someone’s day better through our visit.”
Nursing director Duncan Burton said the hospital is looking to introduce Buzz to elderly patients, including those with dementia.
