Cocaine and cannabis worth about £20,000 was discovered in a loft.

Police found the hidden drugs during a raid at a home near Bandon Hill Cemetery, Wallington, on Thursday July 25.

Danish Nadesan, 23, from Godalming Avenue, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs.

He was remanded to Croydon Magistrates' Court on July 27.

Police were acting in response to tip-offs from the local community as part of an operation in to crackdown on criminal activity.

During the operation police carried out seven search warrants which resulted in three arrests for drugs, burglary, fraud and drink driving.

They also carried out roadside checks and stopped five vehicles for no insurance or licences.

Other officers took part in bicycle marking and handing out crime prevention information to local groups and residents across the borough.

Inspector Phil Parrett, leading the operation in said: "We are determined to continue to be robust and relentless in the pursuit of criminals and to continue to make Sutton a low crime borough and one of the safest boroughs in London."
