The daughter of a vulnerable pensioner who went missing from hospital has urged the public for help finding her father.
Clifford Bell, 69, who is a permanent resident at Putney's Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability in West Hill, disappeared just after 9pm yesterday.
Mr Bell suffered a recent brain injury which means he has virtually no short-term memory and his daughter, Katie Bell, is deeply concerned for his whereabouts.
He is described as white, about 5 ft 8 in, with a medium build and weighs about 80 kg. He also has links to the Richmond, Kew, Brentford and Kensington areas.
Ms Bell was only informed by police after they knocked on her door at 6.45am.
She said: "The best way to describe his mental state is to compare him to the character played by Guy Pearce in the film 'Memento'.
"Although he actually went missing at 9pm last night, he was only reported missing at 4.45am so in reality he has already been missing for 18 hours.
"The lady at the hospital I have been dealing with is furious about the situation.
"He is a unique character and is not a threat to anyone but he has been judged as a 'High Risk' patient by the hospital."
If you see Mr Bell please call or text the Missing Person's Helpline on 116 000.
