A man was headbutted and mugged by 6ft thieves while walking in Epsom in broad daylight last week.
The attack happened at 11.20am last Tuesday, July 23, when a man in his 20s was walking along a pathway off Reigate Road near Nescot College.
He suffering injuries to his nose and face which required hospital treatment after being assaulted by two men.
They snatched a blue diamond stud earring, £60 in cash, a pair of white Rhino shorts and a gold bracelet from the man.
Both muggers are white, 19 or 20 years old, around 6ft, and of average build.
One had short, brown, spiky hair and was wearing a plain white t-shirt and blue jeans. The other was wearing a red Adidas t-shirt and blue jeans.
Detective Constable Steph Worrell said: "This was a frightening ordeal for the victim which will no doubt stay with him for some time and we will do all we can to find those responsible to bring the offenders to justice.
"Since the offence occurred we have been carrying out a number of enquiries including working with the Metropolitan Police Service in a bid to identify the offenders.
"I would appeal to anyone who has their suspicions around someone they know or who has any other information on this incident to contact officers as a matter of urgency."
