Police are investigating two fires that were started at a recycling area in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighers from Wallington were called to Mellows Park, off Stafford Road in Wallington, twice this morning because someone had set light to rubbish in the park's recycling area.
The crew from Wallington fire station was first called at 2.20am and again at 4.53am. On both occasions they had to douse the flames using a hose.
Police have been notified and are investigating.
Firefighters from Sutton also had to attend a blaze at the recycling area at Tesco in Oldfields Road, Sutton, shortly before 10.30pm.
It is not clear if this is linked to the later fires.
