Merton Arts Trail is due to return to the borough this September.

The event, organised by Wendy Bill and Chrissie Craig, will give more than 140 artists the opportunity to display and sell their artwork, whilst keeping 100 per cent of the profits.

Visitors will have free entry and are welcome to wander around the exhibitions, talking to the many artists about their work.

Leading up to the exhibition, Merton Arts Trail will be holding a competition involving under 12s.

The children must create a piece of artwork following the topic "Seasons", all entries must be handed in by September 4 2013.

Five winners will be chosen and given prices, as well as having the chance to exhibit their winning work.

On top of the exhibition, Merton Arts Trail is working alongside the Wimbledon College of Art and "Love Wimbledon" to promote an ‘Art Shed’ that will be located on the Wimbledon Piazza.

The ‘shed’ will house work by current students, and also an instillation by Isabelle Southwood, a local resident and recent Slade graduate.
