The murals of an artist have been celebrated in a new book.
Brian Barnes, whose work can be seen all over Battersea, is famous for his colourful murals created with the help of the community.
The Murals of Brian Barnes, written by Steve Lobb of the Greenwich Mural Workshop, describes 11 murals created between 1976-2013.
Mr Lobb, Mr Barnes' teacher at Bromley College of Art in the 1960s, has also collaborated on work with the artist.
The book started out after Mr Lobb interviewed the artist, recording the sessions in his Battersea studio.
Mr Barnes' most recent work was a mural on a climbing wall in Chesteron Primary School, Dagnall Street, Battersea, replacing an old image he created in 1998.
The mural, titled Our School, Our Community, Our World, is made up of images suggested by schoolchildren including London landmarks and history of Battersea Fields.
Mr Barnes' most famous mural is The Good, The Bad and The Ugly which was located in Battersea Bridge Road but demolished in 1979.
The book is being launched at the Whitechapel Gallery on September 27, where Mr Barnes will be giving a talk.
