A dozen young people volunteered to give sporting lessons to adults with learning difficulties at the All Saints Centre in Wimbledon on Tuesday.
The teens were taking part in the National Citizens Service, a government funded scheme to bring young people together to contribute to their community, provided by The Challenge Network.
Alfie Saxby, 16, from Chessington, said: "I was worried at first about the day because I've never taught adults with special needs before.
"I really enjoyed communication with them, and hearing their stories."
