Crystal Palace skipper Mile Jedinak will have a crack at the Brazilians after being named in Australia’s 22-man squad to take on the men in yellow and blue.
Socceroos boss Holger Osieck has given the 29-year-old midfielder the opportunity to earn his 39th cap, in a friendly game in the capital Brasilia on September 7.
Meanwhile, the Eagles Welsh duo Jonny Williams and Danny Gabbidon have been selected for their country’s forthcoming FIFA World Cup 2014 qualifying matches.
Gabbidon, the more experienced of the two, is edging ever closer to a half century of caps for his country, while Williams could add to his haul of three caps.
Wales’ first game is on September 6 against Macedonia in Skopje, before they return to Cardiff to entertain Serbia at the Cardiff City stadium on September 10.
Kagisho Dikgacoi has also been selected for international duty after being named in the South Africa squad for their friendly against Botswana on September 7.
