A giant bedroom is being built for dogs to rest in during Battersea Dogs & Cats Home's annual reunion.
The rescue centre is appealing to the public for dog blankets to deck out the room, which will be set up in the middle of Battersea Park.
Blankets donated by visitors will also be used to warm rescued pooches over the winter months.
The free family fun day will feature stars from popular ITV series Paul O'Grady: For The Love of Dogs and a dog competition.
Dog owners will be able to let their pets take a break in the bedroom, which will have beds, refreshments and shade to keep hounds happy.
Katie Yanetski, Battersea’s centre manager, said: "The blankets will not only be enjoyed by dogs on the day but they will also be used by future Battersea residents who are brought to the centre in the cold winter months.
"If anyone can spare any bedding, it would greatly help to keep our dogs’ paws toasty while staying at Battersea."
Blankets can be handed to staff at the reunion or can be handed in to any of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home centre.
The fun day is taking place in Battersea Park on September 8.
