A great-grandmother from Banstead has knitted several generations of her family a jumper in time for Christmas.
Doreen Gover, 78, has devoted the past year to knitting 28 red festive jumpers, with reindeer and snowman designs, for three generations of her family including their partners and Cookie, the family dog.
Son-in-law James Spoors, 45, from Stoneleigh, said: "It all started in October last year. She knitted one for my wife and I wanted one, so she knitted it."
The couple posed for a Christmas card photo in their jumpers, which prompted other family members to send in their requests.
After receiving their jumpers in the winter months, a majority of the family met up and posed in their jumpers and are pleased with the efforts made by their great-grandmother.
Mr Spoors said: "It’s a lot of time and effort. She’s doing really well."
Mrs Gover started knitting the requested jumpers in January this year and has completed a jumper every two weeks.
She even knitted a bib for the newest addition to her large brood, her great-grandson.
Mr Spoors added: "You’d just hear the clicking of her needles when she was doing them. She’s even knitting more at the moment, trying to get them knocked out for Christmas."
