T’is the season to be jolly - mulled wine, mistletoe and stockings by the fire are all part of the festive line-up at this year’s Rose Theatre Christmas concert next week.

With an array of magical choirs this December, the show promises to be – if not the loudest, then one definitely not to be missed by seasonal enthusiasts.

Alto, soprano, tenor and bass singers will all be belting out the season’s much-loved carols at the concert.

The well-known singer Kirsty Michelle Anderson will also be taking to the stage during the evening.

A spokeswoman from the Rose says: “This year the concert will involve more music and more choirs. There will be magical carols from Tiffin Boys’ Choir and the community choir, Singing it Back, as well as two choirs from Kingston University including the Twist Choir. It will be a really special evening.”

The theatre will be donned in fine festive decorations to get everybody in the spirit and the Swallow Bakery will be serving festive food and drink throughout the evening.

After the staged show, theatregoers can stay on to enjoy the rest of the evening with band Funkin’ Function tasked with the after party.

There will also be a raffle with ticketholders in for a chance to win either a designer Vivienne Westwood bag worth more than £220 or a luxury hamper from John Lewis worth £75.

All proceeds from the show will go back into the Rose Theatre charity to continue its work producing shows for theatre-lovers in the borough.
