Free tickets for a pantomime at the Rose Theatre are still available for children in Norbiton and Kingston.

Kingston mayor Penny Shelton, a Norbiton ward councillor, has arranged 100 free tickets for youngsters aged five to 12 to see Aladdin at the High Street venue on Saturday, January 18.

There are still 30 tickets available, to be snapped up before next Wednesday.

Free transport to and from the theatre has been arranged from Piper Hall community centre in Piper Road, close to the Cambridge Road estate.

The panto is being performed by the St James’s Players, and will raise money for the Mayor’s Charitable Trust, which is supporting the Alzheimer’s Society and Princess Alice Hospice.

Jill Preston, chair of the Cambridge Road Estates Community Group, said: “As you can imagine we are anxious that this wonderful opportunity is made known to as many families as possible.”

Tickets will be given out on a first come first served basis.

The show will also be performed at St James Church in Bodley Road, New Malden, on Friday, January 17 and Wednesday, January 22 to Saturday, January 25.
