Tony Pulis goes into this weekend's clash with Southampton knowing a defeat could see Crystal Palace slip into the bottom three of the Premier League.
Both Palace and the Saints have won three league games since the new year, but Palace's one win in the last four has seen them drop to within three points of the drop zone.
Southampton, meanwhile, rest in ninth safe in the knowledge it would take a disaster for them to be drawn into the mire of a relegation fight.
However, the Saints are on a high after Luke Shaw made his England debut in the 1-1 draw with Denmark on Wednesday, while Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Jay Rodriguez continue to push for a place on the plane to Brazil for the World Cup.
Boss Mauricio Pochettino took over the reins at St Mary's in January last year and last weekend's 3-0 defeat at home to Liverpool marked his 50th game in charge, with a win ratio of 36 per cent.
Pulis said: “I have watched them quite a few times and I think the manager has done a fantastic job there.
“They play a certain way, which is a little bit different to most teams - their rotation with the front three and the way they use their full backs is excellent.
“But we are at our place and we want to be positive – we will do what we know we are good at and hopefully that will be enough to give Southampton a good game.”
Pulis's only concerns surround Marouane Chamakh, Joe Ledley and Damien Delaney who face late fitness tests.
