A Merton UKIP candidate has been suspended by the party after “extreme racist views” were posted on his Twitter feed.
A series of tweets posted on Andre Lampitt’s Twitter branded Islam as ‘evil’, claimed Ed Miliband is ‘not British’ and that he wanted Africans to ‘kill themselves off’.

Mr Lampitt, a Zimbabwean decorator, featured in UKIP’s election broadcast, on Wednesday, in which he wore a builder’s hat and complained that ‘lads from Eastern Europe’ were undercutting him.
Nigel Farage, leader of UKIP, has launched an investigation into the incident and said he was ‘very angry’.
A UKIP spokesman said: "We are deeply shocked that Mr Lampitt has expressed such repellent views.
"His membership of the party has been suspended immediately pending a full disciplinary process."
Mr Lampitt is featured in the party's 2014 party political broadcast, ahead of the European elections and local council elections on May 22.
He is the second speaker in the video. The first speaker is Councillor Suzanne Evans, who defected to the party from the Conservatives last year and is filmed outside Wimbledon's Centre Court Shopping Centre.
