Beautiful weather and beautiful flowers were the order of the day at a garden society's summer show on Saturday.
Just 100 people turned out for the Epsom Garden Society’s annual event, at St Martins Junior School, in Ashley Road, Epsom, which had 24 adults producing 150 exhibits plus 25 exhibits from juniors.
But Jill Farnham, Epsom Garden Society Show Secretary, said: "It was a very good turnout.
"People took advantage of the lovely weather and came from far and wide - they weren’t just local."
"The judges were very complimentary as usual about the juniors. They have gotten very good at it.
"One of them, Imogen Flitter, has been exhibiting since she was five and is now known as an old hand at flower-arranging, aged nine."
Imogen Flitter, 9
Mary Wood won the overall cup for the flowers, fruit and vegetables exhibit, while Bernard Vyvyan was awarded the Henry Rolls Challenge Cup for Roses.
The Best Rose Exhibit gong went to Belinda Impey, with Helen McMeecham taking home the Rose with the Best Scent prize.
