Vehicles ranging from the 1920s to the present day assembled for the Purley Classic Car Show on Sunday 22nd June. The show, organised by the Rotary Club of Croydon Whitgift, took place at the Rotary Fields just off the A23 Motorcycles and commercial vehicles were included in the show, and there was a strong contingent of Minis brought along by the London and Surrey Mini Owners' Club and the Box Hill Mini Club.

Members of the public were able to vote for their favourite vehicle, with the overall winner being a Bedford tipper lorry and runners-up being a modified Mini and Mk. II Ford Consul. Other vehicles of note included classic fire engines, an ambulance, a Land Rover formerly used by the Mayor of London, a 1920s Amilcar in barn find condition and a pro street customised Ford Model A.

The popular event, now in its second year, also featured a parade of the cars as well as a live band, the Re-Runs, entertaining the crowds with classic rock songs.
