It was a day of non-stop fun as celebrations and activities took over Claygate Recreation Ground.
As the sun shone down on the village, 6,000 people enjoyed the Claygate Flower and Village Show and the range of entertainment it brought.
As visitors entered the show, they were greeted by Bollywood dancers, energetic Zumba enthusiasts and martial arts displays.
Youngsters got creative and came dressed in their best fancy dress costumes ready for a parade as a Caribbean steel band played their infectious rhythms.
The sky above Claygate was filled with 1,000 brightly-coloured balloons during the afternoon as the rainbow of colours representing the Commonwealth were released.
It was not just villagers who enjoyed an afternoon, with animals also getting in on the action with a dog show, Shetland ponies, farmyard animals and exotic creatures meeting and greeting children.
Along with entertainment and animal visitors, a giant marquee filled with stalls and cakes were also on offer.
Children and young people from across the village impressed the judges during the day, with Rosa Johnson, nine, winning the best exhibit cup for her cake iced with 54 flags from every Commonwealth nation.
Mayor of Elmbridge Councillor Barry Fairbank said: "I didn’t realise how many events go on in just this one show.
"It’s wonderful that the Claygate Flower and Village Show raises money for other community initiatives as well, it’s really heart-warming."
