Were your relatives among the befallen World War One soldiers from Claygate? If so, Holy Trinity Church would like to hear from you.
In the centenary year of the start of the First World War, the Claygate church is seeking to unite families of those listed on the war memorial.
Like many villages across the borough and county, Claygate lost many young men during the war which spanned from 1914 to 1918.
More than 40 young men from the small village died, with some families losing more than one son.
Many of the fallen soldiers had been members of the Claygate Scout group, with photographs dating back to 1910 showing young men who within a decade had given their lives for their country.
Vicar Philip Plyming said: "We are planning a special service on Remembrance Day, Sunday, November 9.
"We would be honoured to welcome the families of those sons of Claygate who died in the service of their country."
If you are a family member or know of any family members who would like an invitation to the Remembrance Day event, call Holy Trinity Church on 01372 463603 or email janetwatkins@holytrinityclaygate.org.uk.
