No fruit machines or pool tables here - instead this Kingston landlord has installed a commemorative wall display featuring recruitment posters from World War One.
Peter McFarlane, who has run the Park Tavern in New Road for 24 years, is famed for his pub's changing displays, which he also created for the Olympics.
Mr McFarlane described the pub as "traditionalist to the end".
He added: "We cleared the long wall of sporting memorabilia and hung 80-plus World War One posters of all nations.
"In order it make it more personal we are asked for military records and the like from the locals.
"It's surprising how few know what their grandfathers did."
The display includes posters from several nations, not just Britain, including Australia, Germany and Italy.
Next March, Mr McFarlane will mark a quarter-century at the Park Tavern.
