One thing I love about having a weekly column is that it really makes you think about what you’ve done in the last seven days and also how you’ve managed to pack it all in.
From cleaning behind the fridge and dishwasher, bringing the little ones to visit their great grandmother, early morning runs in Richmond Park, to sorting out the loft, spending the day at CarFest in Hampshire and taking a selfie with Mark the cashier in Sainsbury’s. It’s all about cramming things in.
Yes, it’s a busy life in the Underwood household and you may be interested to hear, Michael is still getting cross with me for always having a job for him to do. Can someone please explain to him there is always something that needs doing? End of.
Speaking of the devil, I have to say Michael has been pulling out the stops this week.
We went on a date night in Esher that gave me the chance to tell him how much I appreciate all his help and how our partnership keeps our little ship running.
With the hustle and bustle of getting things done, you can forget to acknowledge those close to you. He’s enrolled on a course he’s always wanted to do at Kingston Adult Education College and can’t wait to get stuck in.
Finally, just to give you an update on the children, they are doing so well. I’ve been jumping around like a frog with them, building tents and generally playing the fool.
My little “bear” is so generous. When she’s eating she’ll take some out of her mouth and make me eat it. Yuk!
Also, my son is bounding round the house like Usain Bolt with a fantastic run up on the spot to build up speed. If I could only find a way to bottle all that energy.
