Corinthian Casuals striker Jamie Byatt sent a message to boss Matt Howard on Saturday – do not leave me out again.
Byatt fired a hat-trick in a 3-3 FA Trophy preliminary round draw at Leighton Town, but a 3-1 replay defeat on Tuesday saw them miss out on a £2,500 windfall.
Byatt missed last week’s 5-1 Ryman Division One South defeat to Whyteleafe due to concerns over a hamstring problem.
“Jamie’s hat-trick was fantastic,” he said.
“We left him out, but what a way to come back and say ‘don’t leave me out’.”
Casuals, who have won just once in their past nine league and cup games. head to Merstham in the league tomorrow.
