When Santa Claus takes refuge in a garden shed after crashing his sleigh it is up to a boy from Purley to save Christmas.
In his biggest role to date, Kit Connor plays the part of nine-year-old Tom in the Warner Brothers festive film Get Santa.
Tom finds Father Christmas in his shed after he escapes the wreckage of his crashed sleigh.
Desperate to return to Lapland, Santa asks Tom and his dad Steve for help.
The film, whose British cast includes Warwick Davis, Jim Broadbent and Stephen Graham, has its premiere in Leicester Square on November 30.
It is then scheduled for release in cinemas across the country on December 5.
Kit, who is eagerly awaiting the release of Get Santa, said it was the most exciting role he has ever played.
He said: "I had so much fun filming.
"It was great to meet people like Jim Broadbent and Warwick Davies, they were really nice to me and they’re so funny to work with.
"I love acting and filming, hopefully 2015 will be a really good year for me."
His manager Mark Jermin said: "It’s all Kit deserves and more.
"Kit has a huge future in front of him, and there are a lot of projects and directors interested in working with him.
"He’s destined for big things."

On television the 10-year-old has appeared in shows including Sky One’s comedy Chickens and the Bafta nominated BBC children’s series Rocket’s Island and medical drama Casualty.
And he was also in the Dr Who tv movie An Adventure in Space and Time.
Most recently Kit landed a role in the film Mr Holmes, which stars Sir Ian McKellen.
Get Santa is directed by Christopher Smith, who is known for his work on films Triangle, Severance and Creep.
