When some people are winding down for Christmas Corinthian Casuals boss Matt Howard has vowed to step up his work rate.
The King George's Field chief was left fuming after watching his men crash 2-0 at Walton & Hersham on Saturday thanks to goals from Andrew Mensah and Dylan Cascoe.
Casuals have won only two of their their past 12 league encounters after a start to the campaign that had left some dreaming of a Ryman Division One South play-off charge.
Howard's men are not in competitive action until a trip to East Grinstead Town on December 20 and the manager will leave no stone unturned as he prepares his men for the busy Christmas schedule.
“That was poor and I let the lads know afterwards how disappointed I was," he said after Saturday's defeat at Stompond Lane.
“Without making any excuses the pitch was a shocker – we changed our line-up as a result, but I cant deny they wanted it more than us.”
“We now have a two week break and myself and Luke will be doing our uttermost to ensure we are prepared for our busy Christmas schedule where we face the sides at the bottom of the table."
