Corinthian Casuals boss Matt Howard was not surprised by his side’s 1-0 win over high-flying Faversham Town.
Dave Hodges struck the only goal of the game for a much needed win and Howard believes the success had its root in last month’s tour to Brazil.
“I saw that result coming – the be honest we all did. The Brazil trip has left them buzzing and its given the whole club a lift,” said the manager after his side's first league match since returning from Sao Paulo where they played SC Corinthian Paulista in a friendly.
"We’ve beaten one of the best sides in the league, in fact we've taken four points off them overall.
"There was a new found hunger out there and one or two looked different players. They played well in Brazil and have brought that form back over here.
"We're defending well and hopefully that is the start of a run for us."
