Met Police chief Jimmy COoper has revealed the club’s committee are backing him for an all out assault on Ryman Premier League play-offs.
The Blues added former player Mu Maan, right, to their ranks last week win the wake of Ryan James’ departure to big spending league rivals Margate.
Cooper’s side only scored one goal in February and suffered a 1-0 defeat to Grays Athletic on Saturday to put the skids under their play-off surge.
Met are currently fifth in the table with at least two games in hand on the chasing pack.
But they have stuttered in recent weeks and Cooper is hoping to bring in at least two new faces to freshen up his squad with 12 games to play.
“We are still up there and still in a good position,” said the Imber Court manager.
“We are still the fifth or sixth highest scorers in the division even though we have barely found the net recently.
“We are taking the chances we are creating and the number of chances we are creating is a lot less than earlier in the season. It is a worry.
“There is something not quite right with the system we are playing or teams have worked us out.
“We’ve got a small squad and some are using that as an excuse to say they are tired. People think they an automatic choice to start no matter how they play at the weekend.
“The committee are giving me the money to go and get one or two new faces to freshen us up.
“We don’t just want anybody. They have to be quality and we have to get them in by the end of the month.”
The Blues have performed well against those teams above them this term, but Cooper has warned his side must get in to the play-offs first before thinking about who they might face.
“We play better against better opposition so I would fancy ourselves against anyone, “ he added.
“The hard part is getting there.
“We are in a good position and we must take advantages of it.”
