A £21,000 machine which helps diagnose bladder problems has been presented to Epsom Hospital.
The Epsom Medical Equipment Fund (EMEF) raised money for the hi-tech urodynamic machine for the hospital’s urology diagnostic unit.
Urodynamics are tests of bladder function, and help doctors understand the cause of someone’s bladder problems.
As a large part of the cost of the machine was funded by money raised through EMEF’s car boot sales, Stephen Hardie-East, managing director of Autotest, Ewell, presented the machine to Epsom Hospital on behalf of the fund.
Autotest has been a supporter for many years of the fund’s boot sales. On seeing the machine Mr Hardie-East said: "We have a similar machine at Autotest which helps diagnose water flow problems in cars."
